Gilbane Building Company in Houston is seeking a Senior MEP Professional to originate and lead all MEP processes on a project, ensuring coordination across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of MEP experience.
• OSHA 30 hour certified.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Originates MEP Scopes of Work and participates in scope review meetings
• Originates MEP installation and commissioning activities within the Project Schedule
• Trains others on MEP systems
• Determines the MEP subcontracting strategies for a project
• Develops MEP bid package schedule with input from the design team and owner
• Tracks progress of the MEP coordination process and ensures the deliverable meets contract requirements
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment
• Collaborates with business development to integrate with sales strategies and strengthen client relationships

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5-10 years of MEP experience
• OSHA 30 hour certified
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Ability to lead in a team environment and manage project subcontractors
• Strong technical expertise and leadership for the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to lead the commissioning process
• Knowledge of the BIM Coordination and 3D modeling process
• Ability to adapt to changing needs by utilizing excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of risk management
• Strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan
