Job summary

Consulting Engineering Services (CES) in Middletown, CT is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer/PFP to design and supervise mechanical systems under the Project Manager. You will review peer designs, troubleshoot field issues and coordinate with clients, designers and owners to deliver projects on time.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical engineering with Plumbing and Fire Protection, a BSME or equivalent, and preferably a PE license. AutoCAD and Revit experience is essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of mechanical engineering experience with Plumbing and Fire Protection systems.
BSME or equivalent degree; PE license strongly preferred.
Experience with building operation, energy use, and building automation systems.

Responsibilities

Design and layout of mechanical systems under Project Manager direction.
Review other teams’ designs and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
Perform energy analyses, load calculations, and equipment selection.
Prepare reports, monitor project schedules, and ensure on-time delivery.
Collaborate with clients, designers, architects and owners throughout projects.
