Job summary

NV5 is seeking an Electrical Engineer - MEP in Albuquerque, NM, to support design of lighting, power, grounding, and fire-detection systems for commercial, industrial, and governmental facilities. The role emphasizes collaboration with teams and handling multiple project phases through delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four‑year college or university.
• Five+ years' experience in electrical engineering or the equivalent thereof.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel); AutoCAD and/or Microstation; and BIM Revit. Experience with SKM, EasyPower, or EDSA software.
• Experience in lighting, power, grounding, lightning protection, signal, communication, controls and fire detection systems designs.
• Experience in performing design calculations and preparing equipment or material specifications.
• Experience with all phases of project management and production.

Responsibilities

• Performs engineering assignments with clear objectives and conventional plans and specifications.
• Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of professional work on a major project or moderate scope.
• Review work for sound professional judgment and prepare graphical representations of designs.
• Supervise or coordinate the work of designers and other technical support personnel as needed.
• Experience in budgeting, scheduling, planning facility design projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-track environment and with clients and managers.
