Job summary

Providence is hiring a Senior Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling psychology, social work or a health-related field to support the Breakthrough program in Anchorage. Full-time, 40 hours/week on weekdays with some evening coverage, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This role provides counseling, education and case management, plus leadership and mentoring to strengthen milieu treatment and group curricula.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a health-related field is required.
• Alaska licensure as MSW/CSW/Psychologist/MA TF/Professional Counselor is required upon hire.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, education and case management within Breakthrough.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to other clinicians.
• Assist leadership in developing program processes and group curricula.

Education

Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work or health-related field

Alaska Masters Social Worker License
