J.McLaughlin, LLC is seeking a Product Developer to join our Product Development team in Brooklyn, NY. This role supports the development and execution of seasonal men's apparel collections from concept through production readiness, ensuring quality, fit, and brand consistency.

You will collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Technical Design, Raw Materials, and Production, manage calendars, coordinate samples, and drive on-time delivery while maintaining margin targets.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of product development experience.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, and fabrication.
• Experience working across multiple apparel categories required.
• Overseas vendor communication and development experience.
• Proficiency in PLM systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive the product development lifecycle from concept handoff through production approval.
• Manage seasonal development calendars and milestone tracking to ensure deadlines are met.
• Coordinate sample development across proto, fit, and pre-production stages for timely delivery.
• Identify development risks and elevate issues to support on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate product data in PLM systems and partner with Design, Technical Design, Raw Materials, Sourcing, and Production.
