Job summary

Astera Labs is seeking a Principal Product Applications Engineer to drive deployment of Leo memory solutions in next-generation server, AI, and datacenter platforms. You will work closely with customers and Astera Labs teams on platform bring-up, troubleshooting, and production deployment.

The role requires deep DDR/DRAM memory subsystem expertise, strong cross-disciplinary collaboration, and excellent technical communication.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on DDR/DRAM and memory subsystems experience in relevant computing environments.
• Strong understanding of memory architecture and interactions with CPUs/SoCs and controllers.
• Experience with memory bring-up, debug, validation, integration, or system-level troubleshooting.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems across hardware, systems, and customer teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical contact for customers integrating Leo products into platforms.
• Support platform bring-up, integration, debug, and production deployment.
• Troubleshoot memory, hardware, system, and software interactions.
• Analyze memory subsystem behavior including initialization, training, and errors.
• Isolate root causes and drive issues to resolution with engineering teams.
• Collaborate across hardware, firmware, validation, and product engineering.
• Review architectures, schematics, logs, and docs to resolve issues.
• Support integration and debug of CXL, PCIe, and other interfaces.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering feedback and docs.
• Create technical notes, debug reports, and customer-facing material.
• Participate in customer reviews, bring-up activities, and product demos.
