Job summary

Gartner is seeking an experienced memory market analyst to own the quantitative view of global DRAM, HBM and NAND markets. You will forecast supply-demand, track supplier dynamics, and translate complex signals into actionable intelligence for executive clients.

You will interact with clients daily, contribute to quarterly trackers, and collaborate with analysts across AI accelerators, foundry, and storage to quantify cross-market dependencies.

Qualifications

• Educational qualifications include BE/BTech from Grade A engineering colleges with specialization in Electronics, or Semiconductors, or software engineering.
• Graduate + MBA (Marketing or Ops) from leading A & B-schools is desirable.
• 7-10+ years minimum experience in semiconductor memory, market intelligence, product planning, business planning, forecasting or industry research.
• Deep expertise in DRAM and/or NAND Flash, with the ability to develop credible coverage across both.
• Strong understanding of memory manufacturing economics, technology migration, supplier capacity and pricing cycles.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain quantitative market models and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain global DRAM, HBM and NAND supply-demand forecasts, including bit growth, wafer capacity, utilization, yields, inventories and pricing.
• Track supplier capacity, capex, technology transitions and competitive positioning across major memory suppliers.
• Forecast market size, revenue, units/bits, ASPs and supplier market share by memory segment.
• Quantify demand across AI/data center, enterprise storage, PCs, smartphones, automotive and other major applications.
• Track DRAM/NAND transitions including technology generations, capacity allocation and production economics.
• Analyze memory cycles, inventories, pricing inflections and structural changes.
• Maintain quarterly market trackers, forecast models, source databases and scenario analysis.
• Provide evidence-based written responses and support client conversations.
• Identify cross-market dependencies with AI accelerators, foundry, packaging and storage.
