Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Principal Medical Writer to lead complex medical writing projects with a focus on regulatory alignment and high-quality scientific communication. You will oversee document strategy, coordinate across departments, and ensure timely delivery across studies.

The role requires strong scientific writing, leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You will mentor less experienced writers and contribute to strategic publication planning and process

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in pharma/biotech medical writing.
• Demonstrated experience leading publication planning and execution.
• Proven track record developing and delivering complex documents.

Responsibilities

• Leads completion of complex medical writing deliverables with strategic document planning.
• Oversees a range of documents including protocols, CSRs, NDAs, and publications.
• Mentors junior writers and provides technical review to ensure quality.
• Advises on data presentation and production strategies to meet client objectives.
• Ensures regulatory standards and timelines are met; manages client communications.
• Learns and shares industry regulatory guidelines and best practices.
