RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Senior Medical Technologist to join the Lab Ham Blood Bank at RWJ Hamilton in Hamilton, NJ. This full-time night-shift role performs complex laboratory testing across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and related areas, ensuring accurate results and timely patient care.

You will maintain instrumentation, adhere to CLIA/CAP standards, document quality control, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to support high-quality diagnostics and patient

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or equivalent.
• Graduate from an approved School of Medical Technology.
• MT certification from ASCP or HEW equivalent.
• Three years of working experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, complex, and specialized laboratory testing across hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank.
• Analyze, interpret, verify, and report accurate laboratory test results per policies.
• Operate, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments; ensure QC/QA.
• Review specimen integrity and resolve issues.
• Follow CLIA, CAP, and safety standards.
• Use LIS to enter and report patient results.
