Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Medical Technologist Senior to perform routine and complex laboratory tests, operate instrumentation, and ensure accuracy and timely results to support patient care. The role requires a baccalaureate degree in medical technology or sciences and at least three years of clinical lab experience with competency assessment.

Qualifications

Baccalaureate degree in medical technology or sciences.
Three years of minimum clinical laboratory experience performing moderate to high complexity testing with successful competency assessment.
Registry with a recognized board of registry for medical technology such as ASCP preferred.
Successful completion of Orientation Programs.

Responsibilities

Performs routine and complex laboratory tests on blood, urine, tissues, and body fluids to support diagnosis and patient care.
Operates and maintains laboratory instrumentation and analyzes results.
Ensures quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting of results.
Maintains reagents and supplies inventory and ensures specimen ID accuracy.
Participates in training, education, and supervision as needed.
