Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science.
• Active MLS/MT certification (ASCP MLS or AMT).
• Current Hawaii Medical Technologist license.
• Minimum four years’ clinical laboratory experience.
• Strong computer and LIS skills; detail-oriented and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced laboratory testing per SOPs with QA/QC.
• Analyze and report results; consult with supervisors or pathologists as needed.
• Oversee specimen collection and ensure proper ID, safety, and testing priorities.
• Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure performance.
• Provide training and mentorship to staff, students, and new hires.
