Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison to join US Medical Affairs, covering MD, Washington DC, and Northern VA. You will engage KMEs and HCPs to communicate the clinical narrative of Biogen’s therapies and contribute to strategic medical initiatives.

The role requires an advanced clinical degree and 3+ years MSL experience in Rheumatology or Dermatology. Strong communication, digital aptitude, and a willingness to travel are essential; driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree required; Doctoral level preferred.
• 3+ years Rheumatology/Dermatology MSL experience required.
• Territory covers MD, Washington DC, and Northern VA; candidate must reside within territory.
• Effective communication: concise, confident, credible; tailor to audience.
• Comfort with digital tools and systems; willingness to learn new tech.
• Accountability: meet KPIs and contribute to medical excellence metrics.
• Ethical: adherence to industry guidelines for patient benefit.
• Willingness to travel at least 60%, including overnight and some weekends.
• Must have valid driver’s license and able to drive company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Be a credible medical/scientific expert engaging with KMEs and HCPs to support clinical decision making.
• Develop deep, strategic relationships with stakeholders and be viewed as a partner, not a vendor.
• Act as a solutions-driven conduit to medical leaders; respond promptly and collaborate across teams.
• Engage in projects aligned to US Medical strategy and tactics; report insights using Veeva.
