Job summary

Integris Group seeks a Senior Claims Representative to manage a high-severity caseload in medical professional liability from our Glastonbury, CT or Jacksonville, FL offices. You will investigate, evaluate, and resolve claims, coordinating with insureds, defense counsel, and experts across specialties while supporting underwriting and risk management.

The ideal candidate has a BA/BS, 5+ years in casualty claims, 2–3 years in medical liability claims (CT/MA preferred), and strong MS Office

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree.
• 5+ years of casualty insurance claim handling experience.
• 2-3 years of medical professional liability claim handling in CT/MA preferred.
• Travel to various locations required; reliable transportation.
• Proficient with MS Office; strong deadlines discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple complex cases and schedules.
• License to adjust claims in applicable states or willingness to obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze coverage issues.
• Coordinate initial consultation with insured and defense counsel.
• Consult with defense medical experts as needed.
• Review and analyze medical records.
• Manage litigation activities, including status reporting and billing reviews.
• Attend depositions, court conferences, mediations, and trials.
• Prepare claim status reports for reinsurers.
• Maintain regular communication with insured from start to resolution.
• Formulate and execute claim resolution plans.
• Direct settlement negotiations with plaintiffs or counsel.
