Qualifikationen

• 6 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Licenses as required; professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Aufgaben

• Analyzes and processes complex medical malpractice claims and determines exposure.
• Conducts investigations and prepares reports on new events and actions.
• Calculates reserves and monitors adequacy over the claim life.
• Recommends settlement strategies; coordinates structured settlement proposals as needed.
• Coordinates legal defense by assigning attorney and reviewing invoices; ensures client guidelines compliance.
• Uses cost containment techniques including strategic vendor partnerships to reduce claim costs.
• Identifies fraud, subrogation, recovery opportunities to reduce total claim cost.
• Represents Sedgwick in depositions, mediations, and trial monitoring as needed.
• Maintains professional client relationships and ensures proper documentation and coding of claims.
