Job summary

The Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist III at the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage. The role is full-time with a $7,500 sign-on incentive and the opportunity to contribute to high-quality clinical testing across a Tribal health system.

Under supervision, the MLS III provides advanced lab testing, mentors MLS I and II staff, and oversees quality control and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science required for MLS III.
• Five years of clinical laboratory experience for MLS III role.
• Certification such as ASCP or NCA within 9 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of sample analyses and lab services.
• Train in and perform patient specimen testing and ensure sample suitability.
• Interpret test results and ensure accuracy; process samples for on-site or reference labs.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and perform quality control; prepare lab for inspections.
• Assist in education programs and continue professional development.
