Job summary

Providence Swedish seeks an on-site Medical Interpreter focused on Vietnamese to support LEP patients and medical staff with accurate, culturally appropriate communication.

Work within Swedish Shared Services to ensure clear, patient-centered care, using language skills to facilitate clinical conversations and timely translations.

Qualifications include National Certified Medical Interpreter or Washington State Interpreter credentials and at least 1 year of clinical interpretation experience.

Qualifications

• Washington State interpreter certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of medical interpretation experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate on-site medical interpretation in two or more languages with emphasis on Vietnamese.
• Demonstrate advanced English proficiency and native or near-native target language skills.
• Maintain clear pronunciation for professional communication.
• Apply medical terminology knowledge to support LEP patients and staff.
• Facilitate linguistically appropriate care in clinical settings.
