The location of this role will therefore subsequently change to Cambridge, UK in accordance with timelines to be set by the Company. The relocation is currently proposed to take effect by early 2029.
The Senior Medical Director, Oncology Clinical Development - Sarcoma, is a senior physician leader within the clinical programme team, providing medical oversight, strategic clinical insight, and a patient-centred perspective across the design, conduct, and interpretation of clinical studies. This role ensures that medical considerations, patient safety, and clinical integrity are consistently applied across studies within a programme.
Operating within the clinical strategy defined by the Clinical Development Lead (CDL), the Senior Medical Director partners closely with the Senior Scientist and cross-functional teams to guide the integration of physician expertise into study execution and programme-level decision‑making. The role serves as a senior member of the Clinical Matrix Team (CMT), contributing to complex clinical decisions, regulatory interactions, and external scientific engagement.
The Senior Medical Director provides matrixed oversight to the clinical team within the programme, supporting consistency of clinical judgement, safety evaluation, and medical interpretation across studies.
PLEASE NOTE: This career opportunity requires an on‑site office presence (minimum of two days a week) at one of GSK's Switzerland (Zug), UK (Stevenage or London HQ) or US(PA or MA) sites.

The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate's skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
