Job summary

Medtronic, a global leader in medical technologies, is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer for Post Market Surveillance. You will own vulnerability surveillance, field event assessment, security risk analysis, and post-market compliance across fielded devices and systems.

In this role you will partner with Risk Management and Systems Engineering to update threat models and residual risk, support security operations, and assist with regulatory activities and customer inquiries.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field with 4 years of relevant experience or master's with 2 years in security/engineering.
Extensive experience in product security, cybersecurity, embedded/software systems, or regulated development.
Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (FDA, ISO 13485, ISO 81001-5-1).

Responsibilities

Monitor vulnerability signals, field complaints, and security events affecting released products.
Assess impact, exploitability, severity, and coordinate remediation and disposition.
Update Security Risk Analysis, threat models, and residual-risk assessments with teams.
Support regulatory audits, CAPA, and risk-management activities.
