Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Sr. Reliability Engineer to join the new product development quality team, focusing on reliability planning, testing, and regulatory compliance for medical devices.

You will lead cross-functional efforts to identify design weaknesses early, develop robust reliability strategies, and ensure adherence to FDA/ISO requirements. Strong collaboration and leadership are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Reliability Engineering with 4+ years of experience.
• Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/RE or related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Certifications in reliability or quality (e.g., CRE, Six Sigma) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cross-functional development teams, providing mechanical/electrical reliability expertise.
• Write reliability plans and identify activities during product development.
• Perform reliability testing including HALT and ALT.
• Collaborate with R&D to design/implement reliability tests.
• Ensure compliance with FDA/ISO standards and document results.
