Job summary

Tactile Medical in Minnesota seeks a Sr Research and Development Engineer to lead technology and product development within the Product Development team, owning design deliverables from concept through transfer.

The role collaborates across marketing, clinical, and regulatory, translating product requirements into specifications and driving the tech roadmap throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in engineering with medical device experience
• Experience leading medical device development through all phases
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Ability to prototype with mechanical/electrical components

Responsibilities

• Drive project objectives with minimal oversight and clear communication to cross-functional partners.
• Create and test prototypes for design concepts including mechanical and electrical components.
• Identify and test feasibility of new technologies for future projects.
• Lead cross-functional efforts with marketing, clinical, and regulatory to move concepts forward.
• Translate product requirements into specifications, verification/validation plans, costs and schedules.
