Penumbra in Alameda, CA seeks a Senior R&D Engineer to design and develop game-changing medical devices. You will lead multidisciplinary projects, create comprehensive documentation, and drive tests from concept through commercialization.

The role requires strong independent judgment, deep technical depth, and the ability to lead teams across design, testing, and manufacturing. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's in Engineering and 5+ years in medical device R&D or product development.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in R&D Engineering or Product Development in medical devices.
• Portfolio demonstrating engineering acumen and problem solving.

Responsabilidades

• Design, prototype, and develop new medical devices and components.
• Lead projects within multidisciplinary teams.
• Create documentation including CAD drawings, risk analyses, test protocols and reports.
• Document R&D processes in notebooks and protocols.
• Execute tests and interpret results.
• Train team members on new processes and methods.
• Ensure compliance with QMS and regulatory standards.
