Job summary

IMRIS in the Greater Twin Cities area seeks a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to optimize medical device manufacturing processes on-site at the Chaska, MN campus. The role focuses on process design, validation, and cross‑functional collaboration to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency across production lines.

You will mentor staff, drive continuous improvement, and partner with design and maintenance teams to implement robust manufacturability solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably medical devices.
• Experience with process validation and lean/Six Sigma.
• CAD/3D modeling experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Visio).
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to meet quality, productivity, and cost targets.
• Provide technical support to production and supplier integration.
• Lead DFx, FMEA, root-cause analyses, and continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage projects to schedule.
