Job summary
Dane Street, LLC seeks an experienced CPC-certified medical coder with multi-state experience to perform audits, utilization reviews, and demand package reviews for personal injury and insurance cases. You will support litigation through affidavits, deposition prep, and expert testimony as needed.
Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of coding experience, CPC certification, and strong knowledge of CMS regulations across states.
Qualifications
- Active CPC certification (AAPC)
- CPMA strongly preferred
- 5–7 years professional coding experience
- Experience auditing in multiple states
- Familiarity with Medicare, Medicare Advantage & commercial payers
- Prior demand package review or litigation support experience
Responsibilities
- Perform ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS coding audits
- Conduct utilization reviews for medical necessity
- Prepare demand package reviews for personal injury & Insurance cases
- Review records for payer disputes, recoupments & appeals
- Produce detailed audit reports and supporting affidavits/testimony
- Interpret CMS guidelines, LCD/NCD policies, & state Medicaid rules
- Review E/M services under 2021+ guidelines
- Identify documentation deficiencies and compliance risks
