BayMark Health Services is seeking a Billing Specialist to manage billing processes and claims submissions in a physician office setting. The role requires organization, analytical thinking and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include AR follow-up, data entry, payer communications, and timely resolution of denials. BayMark emphasizes comprehensive benefits and meaningful work addressing opioid use disorder.

Qualifications

• 5+ years physician office billing experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Medicaid, Medi-Cal, managed care and commercial plans.
• Experience with ICD-9/ICD-10 terminology, CPT codes and UB-04/1500 forms.
• Proficiency in Excel and data entry is required.
• Able to manage multiple accounts and maintain HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Medical AR follow-up including aging reports, denials, and insurer correspondence.
• Data entry of charges and billing of claims to insurers.
• Analyze, audit, and document actions on each account.
• Submit and review claims, contact insurers for resolution.
• Reconcile accounts, post payments, and initiate refunds as needed.
• Call as necessary to resolve claims professionally.
• Other duties as assigned.
