Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation is seeking a Billing Rep III to help streamline the billing and insurance process, supporting patients and providers in delivering quality care and financial well-being.

You will review and process patient accounts, insurance claims, and payment postings, ensuring timely, accurate billing and follow-up on denied claims while maintaining confidentiality. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of medical billing are essential.

Qualifications

• 4 years experience in healthcare Rev Cycle or a Professional Medical Office
• 1 year experience with IDX Practice management system
• Knowledge of physician billing regulations
• Understanding of professional claims and billing procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Demonstrated proficiency in email systems, internet and office software applications

Responsibilities

• Review and process patient accounts, insurance claims and payment postings
• Ensure accurate and timely billing, follow up on denied claims
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Read & interpret invoice details and registration in IDX
• Manage AR by analyzing system issues and payer denial trends
• Collaborate with insurance carriers and staff to resolve overpaid claims
• Validate insurance information and resolve claim edits
