Job summary

BJC Medical Group in Shiloh and Belleville, Illinois, is hiring a full-time Senior Medical Assistant to join our outpatient team. You will support physicians with patient care, take vital signs, perform phlebotomy, EKGs and injections, and ensure accurate charting in the electronic health record.

We offer a day shift, 40 hours per week, no on-call, no weekend or holiday work, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy, EKG, and injections are performed per scope of practice.
• Accurate patient charting and vital signs collection per protocol.
• Familiarity with lab testing and EHR documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, prepares and stocks supplies in exam rooms.
• Obtains vital signs, patient history and maintains charting in the record.
• Performs phlebotomy, EKGs, point-of-care tests and injections.
• Triage calls, provides test results to patients and relays information to providers.
• Assists providers by prepping patients for exams and procedures.
