Job summary

BJC Medical Group is seeking a Senior Medical Assistant to support outpatient clinical operations in Saint Louis, Missouri. This full-time role involves direct patient care under physician supervision, performing phlebotomy, EKGs, and point-of-care testing, and maintaining accurate records in the EHR.

You will manage patient flow, assist during exams, and ensure smooth clinic operations. A High School Diploma or GED and 2–5 years of experience are preferred; CPR is beneficial.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Role Purpose

Provides patient care under the direction of a physician or other licensed professional. Performs select duties for the promotion of health in the care of patients and delivers care according to practice protocols and procedures. Serves as an experienced role model in a functional area within a practice, such as lab testing, OSHA/CLIA compliance, electronic health record management, specialty practice medical assisting, medical supplies management, or functional cross-training for other positions within the practice.

• Assists provider by preparing patients for exams, procedures and treatments.
