Job summary

SAS is seeking a Sr. Strategic Technical Support Engineer with Medicaid analytics expertise for a remote/hybrid role with a Columbia, SC preference.

You will deliver advanced SAS-supported analytics and provide strategic guidance to state Medicaid agencies, driving adoption and value across multi-tier environments. You will collaborate with Customer Success, R&D, cloud/hosting, and delivery teams, mentor peers, and stay current with Medicaid trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as CS, Data Science, Analytics, Health Informatics or Public Health.
• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise analytics platforms or complex data-driven solutions.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with SAS software in healthcare analytics and reporting.
• Experience with State Medicaid programs and population health analytics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver advanced technical and consultative support for SAS enterprise solutions.
• Establish trusted advisor relationships with Medicaid stakeholders.
• Provide Level 2/3 support and guide complex troubleshooting for production issues.
• Develop training materials and learning experiences for business users.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Identify opportunities to optimize solution usage and drive adoption.
