Job description

Position Overview

space150 exists to put brands on the forefront of culture and technology, to help them keep up, get ahead and stand out. We destroy convention to create demand. space150 is looking for a Senior Media Planner to help us maintain and grow our position as a future-forward integrated media team by leading planning for a client roster that spans regulated med-tech, DTC e-commerce, and national consumer brands. You'll work with senior media leaders to shape media strategies, own tactical media planning, present to clients, own platform execution and media reporting, and collaborate with media and cross-functional team members.

We're looking for someone whose thinking doesn't stop at the flowchart. The best media programs we've run were the ones where the same person understood the role of media in the client's full marketing mix, and could connect a plan to real business outcomes. If you are well on your way to building that muscle across strategy, planning, activation, and measurement, this role is designed for you.

And we're looking for someone who has already rewired how they work around AI. Not "familiar with AI tools." We mean you reach for a model the way you reach for a spreadsheet: to pressure-test a channel mix, synthesize audience research, QA a plan before it ships, turn a messy platform export into a clean optimization read, and draft and critique your own recommendations before a client ever sees them. Media platforms are being rebuilt by these systems; the person leading our media planning should be fluent in them from the inside.

You'll join senior, accountable teams with media, creative, analytics, and engineering in-house at space150 and collaborate directly with clients and other partners.

Primary Functions
Media Strategy & planning
  • Collaborate with senior media leads on media strategy for a portfolio of clients.
  • Understand the role of media in each client's marketing mix and how it contributes to broader client strategy.
  • Lead the development of media plans end to end: audience, channel mix, tactical details, budget allocation, creative spec and best practices, etc.
  • Stay plugged in, from broad industry trends to platform-level changes.
Activation & optimization
  • Execute media plans while understanding the impact on the overall media mix. Track the rapidly changing channel opportunities and settings. Follow and influence our rigorous activation and ongoing QA process.
  • Be performance obsessed - strategically recommend budget shifts and channel optimizations that serve business objectives.
  • Partner closely with analytics teams to ensure measurement is set up and flowing correctly.
Measurement & reporting
  • Contribute to media measurement & testing strategy for your clients.
  • Build reporting and recommendations that connect media to measurement strategy.
  • Bring honest reads to the work, including what didn't perform and what we'd change.
Working with AI
  • Use frontier AI platforms as core daily infrastructure. We're deep users of Claude and Claude Code, Gemini, and the OpenAI stack, and we're deliberately platform-agnostic, we care far less about which model you prefer than about what you've gotten it to do.
  • Build your own shortcuts. Plan QA, pacing checks, platform data pulls, competitive tracking, audience synthesis, report drafts: if it's repetitive, we expect you to automate it rather than budget hours for it.
  • Verify relentlessly. You know where these systems hallucinate, you verify numbers, and you never put a figure in front of a client you can't trace back to source and explain confidently.
  • Raise the floor for the team. Share prompts, workflows, and tools you build internally. Help set the standard for how AI is used responsibly across client work, including where client data and regulated content mean it can't be used at all.
Team leadership & mentorship
  • Coach and mentor associate and junior planners, guide their workflow, and help prioritize work for the team.
  • Keep internal & client teams looped in and accountable for deliverables that impact media so they meet deadlines.
  • Build, direct, and seek internal feedback on client deliverables including presentations, reports, and recommendations.
Client leadership & new business
  • Take and own leadership of client projects within the agency and communicate clearly and proactively with clients and internal teams.
  • Serve as a media voice in client meetings. Present plans, defend recommendations, and handle pushback with credibility.
  • Contribute to pitches, RFP responses, and scoping.
  • 3+years of media planning experience, with a meaningful share of that in an agency or multi-brand environment.
  • Media: growing expertise in 2 or more digital media channels with a strong understanding of traditional media planning and buying.
  • Platforms: hands-on Meta and Google Ads strongly preferred, experience with TikTok, Programmatic, and direct partnerships a bonus.
  • Research & measurement: comfortable with syndicated research tools (MRI-Simmons or similar), GA4, and platform reporting; bonus for Supermetrics, Data Studio, PowerBI, etc.
  • Regulated categories are a big plus: experience planning in healthcare or med-tech, including HIPAA-aware targeting and measurement.
  • Communication: excellent written and verbal skills, and able to produce precise, accurate, high-quality documents on time.
  • Leadership: able to facilitate team problem solving with a positive attitude, respond well in high-pressure situations, and interface effectively with all levels of internal teams and external partners.
  • Self-starter who is results and goal oriented, value oriented, and brings a high degree of integrity and attention to detail.

At space150, we are committed to pay transparency and equity in accordance with applicable laws. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 annually. The salary range for this role is based on numerous factors including experience, skills, and qualifications.
