KLA is seeking a Mechatronics systems design engineer for the FaST Division’s metrology equipment. The role involves developing data-driven solutions, performing calibration, and scripting in a lab or cleanroom environment. You will define integration plans and work closely with customer support.

The ideal candidate has advanced degrees with relevant experience and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Some travel to customer sites is expected; primary location is Milpitas, CA.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor’s with related work experience as specified.
• Strong background in control systems, metrology, or related fields is expected.
• Hands-on lab or factory floor experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Data collection, analysis, calibration, and scripting (Python/Matlab).
• Hands-on hardware work in lab or cleanroom.
• Define system integration, testing, and troubleshooting plans.
• Collaborate with customer support to resolve issues.
