A leading aerospace company in Long Beach is seeking experienced aerospace mechanical technicians to assemble and test the Terran R mechanism. The role involves collaboration with engineering teams, following detailed work instructions, and working with complex electro-mechanical systems. Candidates should have 5+ years of aerospace experience, proficiency with calibrated tools, and a strong attention to detail. • 5+ years of aerospace mechanical experience or related field.

• Proficient in using calibrated tools such as torque wrenches and precision inspection equipment.
• Experience in wiring, harnessing, avionic, and building and testing of electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams on building the 1st Terran R mechanism assemblies.
• Follow precise work instructions to successfully complete build operations.
• Assemble and test complex electro-mechanical assemblies using a variety of hand tools and test equipment.
• Work closely with a team of technicians to successfully execute daily operations.

About the Team:

The Stage Manufacturing team turns design into reality, owning the build of Terran R’s primary structures. This isn’t about turning the same bolt every day; it’s about building the systems to build the rocket. Engineers and technicians work side by side, with deep collaboration and real-time feedback, to shape how we build better and faster. With a manifest and a launch date, it’s up to the team to deliver on Terran R: solving challenges in real time, optimizing for scale, and constantly improving processes. As the vehicle evolves, so will the factory, with opportunities to apply automation, machine learning, and advanced technologies. What we build here sets the blueprint for the future of scaled launch.

This is a 2nd shift position with a standard schedule of 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM PT, Monday through Friday. The role includes a 10% shift differential added to the base pay. Please note that this position is structured around a baseline expectation of a 50-hour workweek, which may include occasional overtime as needed to meet operational goals.

About the Role:

About You:

• 5+ years of aerospace mechanical experience or related field
• Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environments with flight hardware
• Proficient in using calibrated tools such as torque wrenches and precision inspection equipment
• Experience in wiring, harnessing, avionic, and building and testing of electro-mechanical systems
• Proficiency of relevant aerospace industry standards and specifications, showcasing strong attention to detail and concern for product quality
• Experience troubleshooting electrical mechanical assemblies

Nice to haves but not required:

• Experience with electrical testing, high and low voltage
• Airframe and Powerplant license
