Job summary

Constellation Energy, Byron Clean Energy facility in Byron, IL, seeks a Mechanical Valve Engineer at mid-level or senior level to perform advanced technical engineering in support of nuclear plant operations.

The role requires BS in Engineering with nuclear experience, ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 familiarity, and unescorted access as applicable. PE registration and advanced technical coursework are preferred, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering with nuclear experience or related engineering experience
• Familiarity with ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard for personnel selection, qualification and training
• Maintain unescorted access requirements and favorable medical examination as applicable

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs
• Provide technical consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of work with proper configuration management
• Perform engineering tasks using core engineering principles
• Suggest equipment/concepts to improve performance, reduce costs or comply with codes
• Support outage activities and emergency response as needed
