Job summary

WinTec Arrowmaker, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical/ Systems Engineer in Tampa, FL to design, produce, and test mechanical and electromechanical systems such as GPS tracking devices and shock sensors for DoD projects.

The role requires collaboration with electrical, software, and project teams, field experimentation, and travel to government sites. Strong troubleshooting and production coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or STEM required.
• 5–6+ years of mechanical or systems engineering experience.
• Knowledge of transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Basic understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of basic network principles.
• Experience with soldering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to build, test, and deploy products.
• Work with software developers to deploy integrated products and solutions.
• Develop integration plans for sensors including unmanned systems and drones.
• Participate in field experimentation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Travel to government sites and support field experiments.
• Work with project managers on production to meet schedule and budget.
• Identify improvements to equipment, processes, and productivity.
• Continually develop engineering skills and stay updated on tech advances.
• Perform special projects of an urgent and sensitive nature.
