Job summary

Nomad Global Communications Solutions in Montana seeks a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and support mechanical systems for Nomad vehicles and platforms, ensuring compliance with codes, safety standards, and customer requirements. You will create production-ready drawings, collaborate across teams, perform analyses, and drive continuous improvement, with travel as needed.

Strong CAD skills and proficiency in SolidWorks are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required (ABET accredited).
• Must have CAD experience; SolidWorks preferred.
• Design, document, and support mechanical systems for products; ensure compliance with codes and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support mechanical systems for Nomad vehicles and platforms.
• Create CAD documentation for projects, including top levels assemblies, sub-assemblies, and parts.
• Use FEA to analyze designs, document results, and adjust designs to optimize performance.
• Perform design reviews, testing, validation, and root-cause analysis; collaborate across Engineering and Production teams.
• Track work hours and travel as needed.
