Job summary

Kiewit Energy U.S. is seeking a Senior Mechanical Superintendent to lead field supervision, mentor junior staff, and drive project execution on oil, gas and chemical EPC efforts.

You will oversee safety, scheduling, cost control, and contractor coordination on site, ensuring compliance with drawings and specifications. This role requires 10+ years of construction experience with at least 5 years in a superintendent capacity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction experience with 5+ years in a Superintendent/Leadership role (preferably in OGC).
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to learn Kiewit policies, procedures and software quickly.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems that may arise.
• Excellent organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and grow Jr. Superintendents.
• Review and approve labor rates for foremen, journeymen and laborers.
• Manage subcontractor/field management meetings for communication.
• Develop programs to maintain good client relations on site.
• Attend supplementary and regular meetings with clients for planning and issue resolution.
• Oversee monthly job cost updates and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Review, approve or negotiate change orders.
• Plan for project completion and turnover.
• Maintain daily site diary for records and compliance.
• Ensure timely performance evaluations for direct reports.
• Recommend organizational and procedural improvements.
• Review and approve promotions up to General Foremen.
