Job summary

Oxford Global Resources is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead complex design, testing, and evaluation of mechanical systems. You will define project plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, and mentor engineers through development cycles to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires 8-10 years of mechanical engineering experience, hands-on drafting with ASME Y14.5, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Requires 8-10 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining operations, casting, etc.
• Outstanding Microsoft Office skills.
• Must have a minimum of 1000 hours SolidWorks 2005+ and 4-5 years of drafting experience with a focus in ASME Y14.5E STD.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Define (scope) and implement project plans in accordance with the client's needs from pre-selling activities through project completion.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans within the scope of new product development processes.
• Orchestrate team efforts to achieve milestones and resolve issues.
• Communicate across all project disciplines to ensure awareness of milestones, risks, and issues.
• Conduct regular meetings with project teams to resolve issues and share updates.
• Ensure project requirements are achieved on time and within budget.
• Assemble project team, identify resources, assign responsibilities and develop time frames.
• Mentor other engineers in best practices and industry trends.
• Interact with customers for product development and coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Production, Purchasing and Management.
