Job summary

Magnolia Companies is seeking an experienced Mechanical Pipefitter for our New Construction Division in the Washington, DC area. The role focuses on assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems for air, chemical, and water services in commercial projects.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of commercial pipefitting experience, the ability to read blueprints, and hands-on experience with steel pipe fitting and equipment installation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience as a commercial Mechanical Pipefitter.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and maintain piping systems, pipe supports, and mechanical equipment.
• Install piping systems for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkler, and industrial processing applications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine layouts and procedures.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and install metal, plastic, copper, and fiberglass piping and fittings.
• Install and maintain pipe supports, valves, flow regulators, actuators, and control systems.
• Install mechanical equipment according to project specifications and industry standards.
• Test piping systems and equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance.
• Troubleshoot leaks, blockages, and flow issues.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections.
• Follow safety procedures and codes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
