Job summary

FST Technical Services is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer for a Santa Clara semiconductor project. You will provide technical leadership, team direction, and client management across planning, design, construction, commissioning, turnover, and closeout stages.

The role demands strong experience in mechanical systems, project controls, and on-site leadership, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical engineering, commissioning, construction, or project delivery experience, preferably in semiconductor/advanced manufacturing.
• Demonstrated leadership of technical teams and field staff on complex projects.
• Strong ability to manage budgets, forecasting, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering, commissioning, and field teams with clear technical direction.
• Manage staffing, priorities, development, and resource requirements.
• Serve as client and project stakeholder lead for meetings, reviews, and progress updates.
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, staffing plans, and resource projections.
• Monitor financial performance, risks, scope changes, and support commercial discussions.
• Coordinate activities with contractors, vendors, and engineering consultants.
• Ensure compliance with codes, quality standards, and FST procedures.
