James G. Davis Construction (DAVIS) seeks a Mechanical Manager to lead the mechanical trades on projects in both estimating and preconstruction capacities.

You will develop work plans, identify resources, and coordinate with the Lead Estimating Manager / Preconstruction Manager to optimize design and delivery. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 5+ years in commercial estimating, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering/construction management or related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience estimating for commercial construction
• Experience leading bidding and budgeting for mechanical trades
• Knowledge of safety, quality, constructability and sustainability standards
• Leadership level communication and organization skills

Responsabilités

• Lead overall management of the mechanical trades for a project in estimating and preconstruction
• Develop work plan and identify resources required, coordinating with the Lead Estimating Manager / Preconstruction Manager
• Lead budget / bid / GMP for mechanical trades and prepare detailed estimates at all design phases
• Coordinate division 15 with other divisions and lead constructability reviews
• Develop systems analyses and create Value Engineering and Alternates lists/logs
• Build relationships with trade partners/suppliers, clients and design teams
