Job summary

Mercor is seeking senior mechanical engineering professionals to build evaluation tasks for AI systems used in Fortune 500 product design and manufacturing contexts.

The role covers two tracks (US ASME and International ISO) and welcomes experts qualified in either or both tracks, developing enterprise mechanical engineering scenarios, reference outputs, and rubrics that reflect how senior leaders think in large industrial settings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as mechanical engineer or lead at Fortune 500 or major industrial firm.
• Ownership of large-scale product designs or manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with ASME/ISO safety and certification workflows.

Responsibilities

• Construct enterprise mechanical engineering scenarios for complex product design cycles.
• Build tasks across CAD modeling, thermal/fluid analyses, structural analysis, and manufacturing process engineering.
• Develop scenarios using SolidWorks, ANSYS, CATIA, MATLAB/Simulink, and PLM systems in F500 stacks.
• Apply FEA/CFD, DFM/DFSA, Six Sigma/DFSS, and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 or ISO GPS; produce reference specs and narratives.
• Author rubrics distinguishing enterprise judgment from coursework-level recall.
