Job summary

The Mice Groups, Inc. seeks a Senior Engineer to lead steering wheel and restraint system development from concept through production. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical fundamentals and automotive product development experience.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to balance performance, safety, weight, cost, and user experience while driving programs from concept to launch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years automotive product development experience.
• Experience taking a program from concept to production launch.
• Strong fundamentals in materials, kinematics, failure analysis.
• Experience with steering wheels, restraint systems, or related components.

Responsibilities

• Lead steering wheel development through full lifecycle from concept to production.
• Develop specs, release drawings, and support manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Design, NVH, UX, Interior, and suppliers.
• Manage Tier 1 suppliers and act as engineering interface.
• Support restraint system integration and CAE optimization.
• Assist crash testing, validation, and homologation.
• Review packaging interfaces and modify as needed.
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Own deliverables from concept through launch.
