Parallel Systems is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze the mechanical systems of our self-propelled rail vehicles. The role focuses on dynamics, simulations, and safety-critical structures for durable, high-performance platforms.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in mechanical engineering with strengths in CAD, MBD, and FEA, plus experience in railway or related transportation sectors. You will collaborate across a multidisciplinary team to prototype, test, and validate

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering with a focus on structures, dynamics, simulation and machine design.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or Siemens NX.
• Experience with multibody dynamics (MBD) simulation tools and FEA.
• Understanding of vibrations, fatigue, and structural mechanics in transport.
• Experience in railway, automotive, or vehicle applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze vehicle structures, mechanisms, and actuated systems with a focus on dynamics and safety.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain CAD models for components and assemblies.
• Run multibody dynamics simulations to evaluate performance under real-world conditions.
• Perform finite element analysis for structural, fatigue, and modal performance.
• Investigate and resolve mechanical failures to improve system reliability.
• Support prototype development, testing, and validation within a multidisciplinary team.
