BAE Systems is seeking a proactive Sr. Mechanical Engineer with analytical capabilities and demonstrated technical expertise. This individual will support the design, development, integration/test, and production of dynamic electronic military systems. The engineer will work closely with hardware integrated into complex countermeasure and electromagnetic attack solutions, including compact electronic warfare systems. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter with experience working with integrated military electronic hardware and test equipment.
The selected candidate will execute tasks individually and within small, dynamic teams through production and sustainment phases, and may be involved in concept development, detailed design, qualification, and manufacturing transition. Responsibilities include solving production issues, developing robust hardware solutions, performing detailed design and analysis, and engaging in root cause and corrective actions in a production environment. This involves collaboration with manufacturing teams and suppliers, creating 3D models, drawings, documentation using GD&T principles, performing tolerance, thermal, structural, vibration analyses, and assessing environmental design requirements. Prototypes will be generated to support testing and verification.
The candidate will partner with other engineering disciplines and operations to develop solutions adhering to UPC, DFT, and DFM standards. They will also support troubleshooting mechanical faults, evaluating test failures, and designing test equipment to ensure product performance and integrity.

Salary Range: $89,650 - $152,460. Compensation is based on various factors including skills, education, experience, and market conditions.
