Job summary

Redwood Materials is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support pilot projects and scale up production operations. You will lead capital equipment procurement, design tooling, and collaborate with the development team to transition processes into manufacturing.

The role requires strong project management, CAD skills, and a passion for sustainability. You will train staff, analyze data, and drive cost and quality improvements across the manufacturing platform.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–7 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with good dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; PM experience preferred.
• Experience leading capital acquisition processes.
• Experience with industrial scale processes and automation.
• Detail oriented with analytical problem-solving.
• Experience with statistical data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Experience with capital process, process/equipment validation.
• Technical writing experience.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Solid Modeling 3D CAD experience preferred.
• Passion for sustainability and making world a better place.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain regular attendance.

Requirements
