Job summary
Alaska Power & Telephone Company in Boise, ID, is seeking an experienced engineer to develop and support designs, maintenance, installation, testing, upgrades, and repairs for rotating equipment and hydroelectric and diesel power plants.
You will provide operational and emergency troubleshooting, prepare technical and safety documentation, review NESC compliance, and contribute to budgeting and project planning.
Qualifications
- Requires a relevant two- or four-year engineering or technical degree and at least five years of field and design experience in small utility or industrial installations.
- Candidates need knowledge of diesel technologies, power generation and distribution, safety practices, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office, along with the ability to travel and work safely around electrical and mechanical equipment.
