Job summary

ContractStaffingRecruiters.com is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in Plumbing and Fire Protection to design and layout mechanical systems under the Project Manager. You will support project teams, review designs, and troubleshoot field issues while ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

The role requires a BSME or equivalent, 5+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit. Travel to sites may be required to support clients and teams.

Qualifications

• BSME or equivalent degree in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Experience with building operation, energy use, and automation systems.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit drafting.
• Knowledge of NFPA, ASHRAE, LEED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical, functional, and administrative matters across plans, specs, estimates, and provisions.
• Review other teams' design projects.
• Troubleshoot field issues using research and collaboration.
• Prepare progress reports for the project.
• Manage projects from inception to completion with clients and design team.
• Ensure timely delivery and meet project schedules.
• Evaluate energy performance via on-site measurements, load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection.
• Monitor construction progress and respond to RFI-related issues.
• Provide technical support and build relationships with industry partners.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in standards meetings.
