Applied Technology Solutions, Inc. (ATS) is seeking a motivated Mid Level Mechanical Engineer (III) – Piping Systems in Huntsville, AL to solve challenging engineering problems.

You will lead tasks, own designs from concept through delivery, and see your work realized in test and operation environments. The successful candidate will develop piping system hardware, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across disciplines to ensure overall system integration and manufacturability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• BS in Engineering or related technical field.
• Secret DoD Clearance or ability to obtain clearance.
• Familiarity with CAD modeling, drawing development, and GD&T.
• Experience with ASME BPVC, ASME B31.3, AISC 360-10, AWS D1.1, ASME Y14.5.

Responsibilities

• Lead task efforts and own designs from concept through delivery.
• Develop innovative piping system designs and related hardware.
• Mentor and train junior engineers through guidance and structured activities.
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines to ensure full system integration.
• Create design documentation and present results to stakeholders.
• Review designs and calculations prepared by others.
• Perform structural and thermal-structural analyses as needed.
