Jobot in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (PE) to lead mechanical/HVAC design on complex building projects. You will collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors while mentoring junior engineers and staying hands-on.

This on-site role features a hybrid schedule after initial training—3 days in office / 2 days remote—benefits include 401(k) match, comprehensive insurance, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Strong background designing HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial or institutional buildings.
  • Experience with Revit and/or AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design of mechanical/HVAC systems for complex building projects.
  • Perform and review engineering calculations and equipment selections.
  • Develop mechanical system concepts based on client requirements, project goals, and budgets.
  • Coordinate mechanical systems with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and other project disciplines.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and designers.
