Job summary

EXP in California is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Mission Critical team. You will work on Fortune 500 client projects, lead mechanical design efforts, and coordinate with MEP, Arch, and Structures teams.

The role requires 10+ years of PM and design experience, a PE license, and a degreed engineering background. You’ll develop equipment room layouts, select equipment, review calculations, and mentor designers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in project management and mechanical design.
• PE license required.
• Must hold a degreed engineering credential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in data centers / mission critical or telecom preferred.
• Building design experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design efforts for mission critical projects.
• Coordinate with MEP, architectural, and structural teams.
• Review calculations and develop equipment room layouts (SD/DD/CD).
• Select equipment and schedule installation with vendors.
• Mentor designers and ensure design and QA/QC standards.
