Job summary

SAIC is seeking an exceptional Mechanical Engineer to deliver high-quality infrastructure work for the Sentinel ICBM program, a key element of the U.S. Air Force's land-based deterrent. This role focuses on engineering oversight of Sentinel infrastructure from design through implementation.

You will perform technical reviews, oversee designs, manage risks, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a national-security setting, ensuring compliance with standards and mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience (or 3+ with MS) in systems engineering.
• Active Secret clearance; eligibility for SAP clearance.
• Experience applying MIL-STD standards and UFC guidelines to complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight across Sentinel infrastructure projects.
• Conduct design reviews against engineering principles, codes, and guidelines.
• Analyze and mitigate technical risks during design and implementation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions.
• Lead technical design reviews with internal teams and external A/E firms.
